The U9 group will be focused on power skating and strides. Skating is a core skill for all hockey players. Learning the fundamentals of skating technique at a young age is the foundation to a hockey player future. Skating Coach Marci Munro is an expert at teaching young players skating mechanics. 

• The focus on the ice will be:

• Balance

• Edges

• Stride - Forwards and Backwards

• Cross Overs 

• Tight Turns

• Pivots

• Lateral movement
