Given the new hockey landscape, we are devoted to maintaining player safety as our top priority. We will have a MAX of 16 players in this program which will create an ELITE LEVEL DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM. This is the age where players begin to separate themselves from their competition. The amount of time and structure a player puts in the off-season can often be a defining factor to a player achieving their hockey goals. Our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday platform allows for long weekends and time off between training.

DRYLAND TRAINING PROGRAM

The dryland training will be a combination of speed, agility, and quickness as well as strength, power, and conditioning training. Exercises will be appropriate for the age group. Each dryland session will be developed and implemented by the strength and conditioning coaches at IHD.

ON ICE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The on-ice sessions will be focused on themed player development. Each session will have a targeted theme, with specific outcomes in mind. This will allow for exceptional purpose and focus at each session.

Day 1 –Skating Development - Players will work on the critical fundamentals. We must master the fundamentals through correct repetition to form elite habits.

Day 2 – Split ice positional development – Forwards at one end of the rink and D at the other end of the rink. Separating the group into smaller working groups allows the players to target the critical aspects of their unique game.

Day 3 - Game situation development – This session will enable the players the opportunity to recreate game situations for all three zones. (Subject to COVID restrictions)

This program is built for players who are anticipating playing academy, zone, or high-level rep in the upcoming season.

In this program, players can expect to be pushed hard to maximize their growth and development to prepare them for the tough challenges they will face in the future. This will be an intense, competitive, and demanding program, but most importantly it will be rewarding!
