Impact Hockey has been a leader in skating development for over 15 years. Our Power Skating program has been designed to break down the skating mechanics and productivity of players in a variety of situations and focuses on the following critical elements:

1. Instruction

2. Correction

3. Repetition

4. Progression

This is exclusively a skating camp, with no pucks or goalies. The camp will begin with the foundation of all skating mechanics, posture, and balance. We then progress into essential tools and movements that all players must master- the key focuses will be:

• Basic stance - foundation development

• Forward Stride

• Backward Stride

• Linear acceleration

• Lateral movement

• Edge control

• Tight turns

• Crossovers

• Pivots and mobility

• Foot speed

The goal is to establish correct mechanics at a young age, as this will be the building block for years to come. Addressing, targeting, and developing these building blocks are the key focus of this camp.

DRYLAND TRAINING

 Dryland training sessions will be age-specific, allowing us to push and challenge the players to get faster, quicker, and more explosive. The dryland portion of our program will incorporate bodyweight and partner exercises. The players will work on conditioning, coordination, core strength, and balance in a fun and challenging environment.
