Dryland Instructor Darryl Buhler.  IHD is excited to have Darryl lead our off-ice training in Abbotsford! Darryl is the Head Trainer at Bolt Fitness and is the Dryland Trainer for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds Program.

ATOM & PEEWEE groups will perform drills all together as well as in small group station work.  The groups will be split based on age both on and off the ice.

*Please note July 19/20/21/22 ICE will be 4:15-5:15 PM and Dryland 5:30-6:30 PM

U11 & U13 DANGLERZ + SNIPERZ

2009, 2010s and 2011, 2012s

Learn how to dangle and snipe in this fun camp! Scoring and puck skills are what makes a player shine. Learn how to deek, make high skill plays and score in a variety of situations. Skills like these enable a player to show their creativity - great players have the skills to be unique.

U11 & U13 SPEED + EDGES

Skating development is a fundamental component of developing as a hockey player. Skating skills allow a player to thrive at the next level, not just survive.  This camp will focus on stride mechanics, edges, balance, transition skating and much more. This camp is for those wanting and willing to invest the time and energy into becoming a better skater.

During this camp, players will learn the skill and skating elements of defending. Playing defence is a challenge, learning to play without the puck and defending in a variety of situations. Players will also learn how to develop offence from the blue line to become a more valuable player.

U11 & U13 BUZZIN BOOTS

Get your boots buzzing this summer, in this high intensity and challenging skating development program. Focusing on foot speed, acceleration and explosive speed. High energy drills on and off the ice. Players will be challenged at their skill level through station development and outdoor dryland training.

This camp is for players who want to learn how to compete. Competitive drills to gain a tactical advantage in the hard to play areas, this is a key piece to becoming a more valuable player. Have fun battling and competing on the ice and develop athletically off the ice.

In this program, players can expect to be pushed hard to maximize their growth and development to prepare them for the tough challenges they will face in the future. This will be an intense, competitive, and demanding program, but most importantly it will be rewarding!
