The dedicated staff and great group of guys made my past 4 summers an enjoyable expierence. With the help of the staff, they pushed me to be the best I can be... and better. Impact Hockey got me in great shape and a chance to go to that next level. I went from an overlooked player playing Midget B1 to Junior A hockey player. Im now in my second year of Junior A with the Langley Chiefs, and I recently committed to a full ride scholarship with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks of the NCAA. Impact Hockey Development got me ready to reach my goals... and can help other player reach their own goals too. Colton Beck - Langley Chief (Came to impact hockey as a Midget B1 player)   "Impact hockey has a great atmosphere and a great group of guys that are all pushing you to reach your own goals and it really helped me get to the next level." - Chris Santiago Tim: "I came into Impact Hockey with Tim as a young 16 year Midget A player looking to better my hockey skills and work ethic both on and off the ice. Not only did I get both of these, but the IHD summer program helped me to get into better overall shape which helped me the most. The great group of high level players that are in the program helped push me every session on and off the ice.. I also did private sessions with Tim Preston and he did such a good job connecting and understanding what specific parts of the game I had to focus on and work on in order to get to the next level in hockey and has made me excel as an overall hockey player." Brenden Dillon – Seattle Thunderbirds, WHL Hi Tim, "Impact Hockey has worked with our team last season. They provided a hard working intense training environment that all of our players benefited from. I believe that impact Hockey is a great way for players and teams to increase their development." Rob Sumner – Head Coach, Seattle Thunderbirds, WHL I would not be where I am today, or have accomplished what I have, if it wasn’t for Impact Hockey and Tim Preston.  There is a reason that I keep coming back after every season ends, and that is because I believe they can make me into the player I want to be. I recommend Impact Hockey and Tim Preston to any and all players who are looking to get the edge and the confidence in their development.” Colton Gillies , Minnesota Wild, NHL “Tim has been working with Connor since he was second year Peewee. Connor has done private and semi private training as well as IHD’s spring and summer camps. Under Tim’s guidance Connor has greatly improved in all areas of hockey Impact Hockey demands a strong work ethic and Intensity on and off the ice which only brings out the best in the players. IHD has done wonders in preparing Connor for the next level of hockey. I would highly recommend IHD programs to anyone wishing to strongly develop any of their hockey skills. Thanks, Tim for all you have done for our son.” Steve Rankin Father to Connor Rankin 7th overall Pick in the 2009 WHL draft Now playing with the Tri City Americans, WHL I have trained with Tim and Impact Hockey both on and off the ice since 1st year peewee and every year they have helped push to me reach that next level. IHD really works with each player individually specifying your weaknesses and improving them with great success. Impact Hockey has really showed me how hard I need to work to take the next step. Much of my hockey success has come from all of the impact staff that dedicate themselves to making their athletes better hockey players.   Austin Plevy Langley Chiefs, BCHL Committed to Merrimack (NCAA Div. I ”If you as parents are asked this question “Who do you train with?” about your son on consistent bases, you are probably doing something right!   My wife and I have two sons that play hockey for Shattuck St. Mary’s, SSM, and we seem to be asked this question quite frequently over the past 4 years.  Our response is, “We have been training with Tim Preston and Impact Hockey in Vancouver for the four years. We have been told by most of our coaches that the thing that separates our boys from the others is that they do the little things right. It is Tim Preston’s deep knowledge and understanding of the “physics” involved in each skill that makes him such a strong and effective coach.  We have all had teachers/professors in school and university that are extremely brilliant, but are not able to break down their knowledge to effectively communicate and teach it.  Tim is a natural at this. He understands the intricate balance, motion, weight distribution and timing that go into movements on the ice. He knows where the power comes from and how to get it out of each athlete.  All coaches can demonstrate moves and plays, but Tim can watch and find exactly which pieces are missing so that they can be executed.  He does not let the little things go by. Lessons cover the skills and techniques the boys are striving to achieve like: perfect their stride, speed, explosive quick feet, lateral movement, quick release, puck skills etc. along with the cognitive thinking that goes along with the logic behind each move and the strategies on how and when to use them. Tim is a master at this.  The key is finding the right balance for your athlete’s training.  You need to balance game play and knowledge with skill development, focus and commitment.  We know we have found this with Tim Preston.” Dave and Chelly Pieper, parents to Bo and Cannon Pieper St. Paul, MN Cannon Pieper - Prep Team        Bo Pieper - Midget AAA
